Venice islands: Campana (Podo)
Campana (Podo) island is located in the South Lagoon at the end of the Campana canal.
Constructed and fortified in the XIX century, like the other batteries, this small island was abandoned after the second world war and today very few traces remain of its past.
In 1996, the "Bucintoro Boat Club" organised a special event with sailing boats around the island, where a new Capital with an image of the Madonna of Marina was inaugurated.
