Ex Poveglia island is located in the South Lagoon between the islands of Fisolo and Campana, on the Re di Fisolo Canal.
Like all the other batteries, this island was constructed and fortified in the XIX century. Until the end of the second world war, it was still used as a military holding, it was then abandoned and it is in a serious state of decay.
